Public Transit To The Paramount
We highly encourage using public transportation to get to the venue!
- Take BART to the 19th Street Oakland Station. Exit at the 20th Street / Broadway Exit. The theatre is about a 5 minute walk from the station at 2025 Broadway.
- Plan a trip to the Paramount via public transportation and find transit routes and services here.
- ATTENTION BART RIDERS! Free buses will replace trains between Rockridge, MacArthur, and 19th Street stations on the following weekends: June 22-23, July 20-21, August 17-18, September 21-22, October 19-20, and November 2-3. In addition to the track shutdown, there will be no Red Line service on these weekends. For more info please read the BART Passenger Bulletin June 2024.
Driving Directions
- Go east across Bay Bridge
- Bay Bridge becomes I-80 East
- Take the I-880 South ramp towards Alameda/Airport/San Jose
- Take the W. Grand Ave exit
- Head east on W. Grand Ave
- Turn right on Broadway Ave
- The theatre is located on your right at 2025 Broadway
- FROM MARIN, I-580 E/Richmond San Rafael Bridge puts you on I-80 West
- FROM BERKELEY, RICHMOND OR SACRAMENTO follow I-80 West
- From I-80 West take 580 East to 980 West
- From 980 West take the 18th Street Exit
- Merge onto Brush Street
- Turn left onto 17th Street
- Turn left onto Broadway
- The theatre is located on your left at 2025 Broadway
- Take I-680 South to Hwy 24 West ramp towards Oakland/Lafayette
- Merge onto Hwy 24 West
- After going through the Caldecott Tunnel, Hwy 24 becomes I-980 West
- From I-980 W. take the 27th Street exit towards W. Grand Avenue
- Merge onto Northgate Avenue
- Turn left onto W. Grand Avenue
- Turn right onto Telegraph Avenue
- Turn left onto 20th Street
- Turn left onto Broadway/Broadway Auto Row
- This will bring you right in front of the theatre
- Take I-880 North towards Oakland
- Take the Broadway exit towards Downtown Oakland
- Stay to the right at the fork in the ramp
- Merge onto Broadway
- Broadway becomes Broadway/Broadway Auto Row
- Stay on Broadway to 21st Street, and you will be in front of the theatre
Parking Near The Paramount
While the Paramount Theatre does not have any parking of its own, it is surrounded by several major parking facilities. Please check hours of operation before parking to confirm garage remains open for the full length of the event.
Parking is available at the City of Oakland's Telegraph Plaza Garage located at 2100 Telegraph Avenue (at 21st Street). The garage is directly across the street from the Paramount Theatre's Box Office and 21st Street entrance. Entrance to the lot may be accessed via Telegraph Avenue. The payment kiosk for the parking lot is located at the right as you enter. Payment is required when you park. You can also pay by using the ParkMobile app or text "Park" to 77223. If you don't have a smart phone, please call 877-727-5718. The lot is Zone# 65354. Please see parking poster for additional information.
There is also limited designated street parking available on the blocks surrounding the Paramount Theatre.
