The Paramount Theatre is committed to accessibility for all our patrons.
The Paramount Theatre Box Office staff is available to assist you in acquiring seating that best meets your individual needs. There are wheelchair accessible locations, as well as semi-ambulatory seats with movable armrests for those who would like to transfer into the seat. These seats are located in the Orchestra Front and Orchestra Rear sections on the main floor. The Paramount Theatre does not provide wheelchairs. Please note, there is no elevator in the Paramount Theatre. To speak to our Box Office staff regarding accessible seats, please call 510-465-6400 during open hours on Fridays between 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. If you call outside of our open hours, please leave a mesage and we will return your call.
Accessible seating is available for purchase in person at our Box Office and online through Ticketmaster.com. On Ticketmaster accessible seats are designated with a wheelchair icon. Hover over the icon to view seat type.
Accessible Seat Types:
Companion Seat - Seating reserved for companions of patrons using a wheelchair or other mobility device.
Deaf / Hard of Hearing / Blind / Low Vision - Seating reserved for patrons who are hearing or sight impaired and their companions.
Semi-ambulatory Seat - Seating reserved for patrons with limited mobility and their companions. Arm on aisle seat is capable of swinging outward, so patrons can transfer directly into the seat. Not wheelchair accessible.
Wheelchair Accessible - A space specifically reserved for patrons using a wheelchair or other mobility device.

Accessible Restrooms
There are two (2) wheelchair-accessible restrooms located on the main floor between the 21st Street entrance and Aisle 5.
Accessible Tours - TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
Accessible tours are offered upon request. For more information please call 510-722-0841. Guests requiring special accommodations for hearing or visual disabilities should make their request at least ten (10) business days prior to the tour. We may be unable to accommodate requests made less than ten (10) business days in advance due to time and unavailaibility of services.
Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs)
Assistive listening devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. An Infrared assistive listening system is installed in the theatre and headsets may be used at any seat. Headsets with induction neck-loops are available for patrons who use hearing aids and cochlear implants with a "T" switch. Ask your audiologist whether your hearing aid or cochlear implant has a "T" switch (telecoil) and how to use it with an assistive listening headset. Headsets are distributed free-of-charge on a first-come, first-served basis from the Coat Check, located on the Main Floor, just outside Aisle 1 auditorium doors.
Sign Language Interpretation
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available upon request. Guests requiring this accommodation should make their request at least ten (10) business days prior to the event. We may be unable to accommodate requests made less than ten (10) business days in advance due to time and unavailaibility of qualified interpreters. Parking
Parking for patrons with disabilities is available at the City of Oakland's double-decker parking lot located at Telegraph Avenue and 21st Street. The lot is directly across the street from the Paramount Theatre's Box Office and 21st Street entrance. Entrance to the lot may be accessed via Telegraph Avenue or 21st Street. There is also limited designated street parking available on the blocks surrounding the Paramount Theatre.
Public Transportation
The Paramount Theatre is accessible by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) or the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit). The closest BART station is located at 19th Street and Broadway and is just one block away from the Paramount Theatre.
